WILMINGTON, DE – APRIL 16, 2018 – The NBA G League announced today the members of the 2017-18 All-NBA G League Teams. Delaware’s Christian Wood was named to the All-NBA G League Second Team.
In 45 games played (42 starts), Wood averaged 23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. The former UNLV stand out ranked fourth in the league in scoring and rebounding in 2017-18. Wood was named to Midseason All-NBA G League Eastern Conference Team in addition to the All-NBA G League Showcase Second Team earlier this year. The 6-11 forward recorded a season high 46 points and 19 rebounds against Long Island on March 11.
Wood also played for the Delaware during the 2015-16 season, when he averaged 17 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 29 minutes per game. He was originally signed by the Philadelphia 76ers in September 2015, and later received two GATORADE Call-Ups to the Sixers. He has appeared in a total of 30 NBA games, 17 with the Sixers (2015-16) and 13 with the Charlotte Hornets (2016-17). While playing collegiately at UNLV, he earned second team NABC All-District (17) and second team (coaches) Mountain West All-Conference honors.
