Thursday night, the Coats hosted the Vipers in Wilmington for game 2, falling short, 131-114, after coming up short against the Western Conference Champions, 145-128, in Game 1 of the best-of-three series on Tuesday. The loss ends their 2021-22 campaign.
With two of the team's regular starters, Charlie Brown Jr. and Jaden Springer, put on the inactive list ahead of the opening tip, the Vipers were able to take a huge lead right out of the gate, and finished the first quarter up 43-28.
Starting in place of Brown Jr., Karim Mane contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Myles Powell scored 28 points off the bench.
The Blue Coats will be going into the 2022-23 NBA G League season as one of the teams to beat after two consecutive Finals appearances.
