WILMINGTON -- FEB. 6, 2021 -- The Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, announced today that the team has acquired Jordan Bone and a 2021-22 third-round pick from the Lakeland Magic in exchange for the returning player rights to J.P. Macura, the returning player rights to Doral Moore and a 2021-22 second-round pick.
Bone, the No. 57 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, was most recently a two-way contract player with the Orlando Magic after spending last season on a two-way contract with the Detroit Pistons. Fourteen of Bone's 24 NBA regular-season appearances between Orlando and Detroit came this season with the Magic, where he averaged 4.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 14.0 minutes per contest. Bone played in 31 NBA G League games (30 starts) last season with the Grand Rapids Drive, averaging 17.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 31.8 minutes per game. He ranked eighth in the G League in assists per game and shot .381 (77-202) from three-point range.
A Tennessee native, Bone played collegiately at the University of Tennessee from 2016-19. In 95 career games (87 starts), he averaged 9.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 26.1 minutes per contest. Bone set the Tennessee single-season record for assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.91 as a junior in 2018-19. He also owns the best career assist-to-turnover ratio in program history at 2.70 and was named to the 2019 All-SEC Second Team.
