Blue Coats Take Down Skyhawks in College Park Saturday Night

The Delaware Blue Coats (12-5)  were back on the road on Saturday, taking down conference rivals, the College Park Skyhawks (8-11), 113-102.

The Blue Coats started strong right from tip, going on a 13-0 run to start the game. Though the matchup remained close throughout the first three quarters of the game, as the final buzzer came closer, it was all Blue Coats; they outscored the home team 38-27 in the fourth en route to the W.

The Blue Coats finished the game on top in all statistical categories but one, and the team totaled a dominating 17 blocked shots and shot a staggering 46% (41-90) from field goal range. 

Key Contributors 

  • Myles Powell
      • Powell took his game to the next level in the fourth frame where he scored 15 of his team-high 23 points.
  • Charles Bassey
      • Bassey continued to make his presence known on the court, recording a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. He also blocked six shots, twice as many as the entire Skyhawks roster.
  • Jaden Springer
      • Springer had a big second half, dropping 15 of his 19 total points in the third and fourth quarters.
  • Shaq Harrison
    • Harrison ended the night with 12 points and eight assists, four coming in the final quarter.
