The Delaware Blue Coats (8-4) continue their mini-series in Indiana, facing the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (5-8) on Thursday afternoon.
Coming off a convincing 129-117 win against the Mad Ants on Tuesday, the Coats will look to stay sharp on the offensive side of the ball and complete the sweep. Consistency from behind the arc will be key. The Blue Coats going 48% (25-52) from beyond the arc, including a perfect 5-5 from "BBall" Paul Reed, compared to the Mad Ants’ 36% (16-45) was a difference maker in their first matchup.
Just as important, the team will look to continue its habits of getting multiple players involved; in their last two games, at least six Coats have scored in the double-digits. One of whom, Braxton Key, recorded his third consecutive double-double on Tuesday with 19 points and 10 rebounds. That across the board production has helped elevate Delaware over Fort Wayne in both of their previous matchups in the 2021-22 season, as point totals in the two wins (127.5) far surpassed the team's season scoring average (113.8).
Gabe York of the Mad Ants accounted for 34 points their last outing and will be a focal point for the Blue Coats defense on Thursday. By containing him and continuing a high level of offensive play, the Blue Coats look to sweep this two-game set, and leave Fort Wayne with their fourth consecutive win.
The game will be streaming on NBAGLeague.com with tipoff scheduled for noon.
