The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the New York Knicks convincingly on Wednesday night, and now the Delaware Blue Coats (12-6) hope to have similar success against their G-League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks (11-9), when they come to town on Saturday night.
This will be a familiar matchup for the Blue Coats, with this being the fourth and final meeting between these two teams on the regular season. Going into Saturday, Delaware holds a 2-1 record over Westchester in 2021-22.
Both of the Coats’ wins came in 2021 during pool play for the Showcase Cup. When the two faced off on Feb. 1, 2022, the Knicks pulled out a tight matchup, 117-107. The Blue Coats look to avenge that loss and take the season series with their conference rivals.
A key component in this contest will be Myles Powell, formerly of the Knicks.
Powell started for the Knicks when they faced the Blue Coats on Dec. 17 in Wilmington with 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey in the crowd. Only two days later, the Sixers signed him to a two-way deal.

Since then, Powell has seen time with the 76ers while also being a regular contributor to this Blue Coats team. During his time in Delaware, he has averaged 20.6 PPG while shooting 48% from the field. In the last meeting between these two teams, Powell scored a season-high 28 points, going 10-20 from the field and 4-5 from the free throw line.
