PHILLY COATS! DELAWARE TO PLAY EDUCATION DAY GAME AT XFINITY MOBILE ARENA

WILMINGTON – SEPT. 22, 2026 – The Delaware Blue Coats will return to Philadelphia on March 15, 2027, for an Education Day game at Xfinity Mobile Arena, welcoming local elementary school students for a day of basketball, education, and community engagement.
The Blue Coats will face the Greensboro Swarm at 11 a.m. as part of a doubleheader with their NBA affiliate, the Philadelphia 76ers, who will host the Toronto Raptors at 7:00 p.m. The matchup will mark the Blue Coats’ third Education Day of the season and bring the organization’s annual educational experience to Philadelphia-area students for the second consecutive year. The event will include lunch for students, along with educational vendors throughout the concourse offering interactive activities and opportunities to learn and explore.
“Education Day is a special opportunity for the Blue Coats to bring the excitement of professional basketball to students while creating meaningful connections between the game and the classroom,” said Blue Coats President Larry Meli. “Being able to provide an experience that is both educational and entertaining is something we’re incredibly proud of and a great reflection of our organization’s commitment to investing in the next generation and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.”
Last year’s event at Xfinity Mobile Arena set a franchise attendance record, with 3,293 fans attending on March 4, 2026. Fans were treated to a memorable day of basketball and community engagement, as the Blue Coats held off a late Westchester Knicks rally for a 125-122 victory. The Philadelphia 76ers closed out the doubleheader with a thrilling 106-102 comeback win over the Utah Jazz.
